CAPSULE – formerly videoproductions.lu – is a Luxembourg based video production and photography company founded by the journalist Dan Schank and the photojournalist Pierre Matgé. Their 20 years of experience acquired in working for large Luxembourg newspaper groups have given them a wealth of know-how gained on the ground, both in terms of information gathering and content management and as regards shooting and aesthetics.

After graduating from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen (Germany) with a degree in media studies and history, Dan Schank worked for several years as a video journalist for RTL Luxembourg. He subsequently played an active part in the setting-up of the video production department of Luxembourg’s leading daily newspaper, the Luxemburger Wort. In 2017 he left the world of journalism and set up videoproductions.lu, which is changing its name to CAPSULE in 2022.

After graduating from the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts Saint-Luc in Liège (Belgium), Pierre Matgé worked from 2005 to 2020 as a photojournalist for various titles published by the newspaper groups Editpress and Saint-Paul. He won a European Newspaper Award for his drone photography, examples of which appeared in the Luxemburger Wort. In 2020 he went to work with Dan Schank in videoproductions.lu, which is changing its name to CAPSULE in 2022.
